The Château de Langeais - Campsite les Granges

The Château de Langeais is a magnificent medieval castle just a few kilometres from our campsite. Built in the 15th century, it is famous for its impressive architecture and its key role in French history. The castle has been the site of many significant events, including the marriage of Charles VIII and Anne of Brittany, a crucial moment that marked the union of the two duchies.

When you visit the château, you can explore its richly decorated rooms, enchanting gardens and even its impressive fortress. On Sunday mornings, don’t miss the large traditional market held at the foot of the château. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover local produce, sample regional specialities and meet passionate craftspeople. The atmosphere is friendly and lively, and you’ll find fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, artisan breads and many other delicacies.

Finally, Langeais’s shopping street is a charming place to stroll. Here you’ll find small boutiques, cosy cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy typical local dishes. It’s the perfect place to pick up a few souvenirs or simply enjoy a moment of relaxation.
